Prodea Systems Shortlisted for the Internet of Things Awards +

November 4, 2014

Prodea Systems today announced that the company’s groundbreaking Residential Operating System (ROS®) has been selected as a finalist for Total Telecom’s Internet of Things Awards (IoTAs) in the Most Innovative Platform Solution category. The IoTAs were established to recognize innovation and excellence within the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem.

“Recognition from the IoTAs acknowledges the range of innovative services and capabilities the ROS platform enables for service providers worldwide,” said Anousheh Ansari, CEO and co-founder of Prodea. “Our platform has seen great traction globally in the last year, and traditional and non-traditional service providers alike are turning to ROS as an entry point to the Internet of Things. With ROS, these service providers are able to broaden their offerings by delivering enhanced services to homes and businesses.”

Prodea is the first company to provide seamless access to a broad range of services comprising the connected home and, ultimately, the emerging Internet of Things. ROS is a managed service delivery platform agnostic of connection, service, application, and protocols, solving the challenges that both traditional and non-traditional service providers face in delivering the Internet of Things to consumers. This approach to the Internet of Things makes the ROS platform a far more viable proposition in the immediate short term by creating a new world where services, devices, and data can be exchanged seamlessly. This is proven by current ROS deployments spanning Africa, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the United States.

The winners of the Internet of Things Awards will be announced on December 2, 2014 during the Total Telecom Festival at the Lancaster London.
