We’ve talked a lot in this space about Arrayent’s vision for connected devices in the smart home, especially the emerging role of the mobile phone as the controlling “hub” for everything in the house. So we were happy to see that exact same message echoed in an incisive piece in the New York Times about where consumer technology is heading.
The piece does a good job running through the ways that mobile phones change the ball game for automated homes and connected devices. And they describe some of the same “greatest hits” of the first generation of connected devices that we’ve been talking about here at Arrayent, like thermostats and garage door openers.
But don’t take our word for it; read the piece yourself here.
